![]() I might start tweaking "real time ratio change" sliders and see what happens. My maximum temperatures are currently a cool 59/61/62/57☌ for each of the cores respectively. That was only testing for about 15 minutes though. I also ran PassMark BurnInTest with defaults, which came up with a big dramatic "FAIL" but only because it ran without adequate permissions to test network, all other tests passed with flying colours. I'm currently running Prime95 which has been going for about 30 minutes with no problems. I arrived at these settings again with the highest setting of the dumbed down "QuickBoost", but through a slightly different utility which means that the settings are slightly different (4vs4.1GHz) and by clicking the 'Advance' tab I can see the actual settings it's applied. I'm now running with BCLK 100MHz, 44/43/42/41 ratios (so, 4.1Ghz when all cores are working) & 1.26V. I'd be interested to know what software and procedures other people use for doing this type of stuff on a new build, and also any hint of a diagnosis / prognosis for my CPU. FWIW, Core #3 looks to be consistently slightly warmer than the others. So, I don't know what the CPU temperatures during all of my OCCT tests have been, but I do know that it is idling around 30-35C and under the latest test I tried (where it failed after ~1.3 minutes) the temperature apparently only got up to around 60C (EDIT: running again now, and it is fairly stable at around 50C under load with default clock but I expect it to detect an error soon). I've just started running a little CPU Thermometer program alongside it, which gives realtime readings of temperature for each core (doesn't seem to do anything like logging or making graphs). OCCT for some reason doesn't seem to be picking up readings for CPU temperature. In fact, the latest test I ran just now only went for ~1.3 minutes of actual stressing of the CPU before failing. It usually, not always, seems to be core #1 that produces an error. so I've been reducing the settings and found that even at default clock it doesn't pass. When I returned it was reporting that it had encountered an error on CPU core #1. So I set it to the maximum and started a 1hr OCCT CPU test. That just gives three big buttons for "Faster" (3.50GHz), "Turbo" (3.70GHz), "Twin Turbo" (4.00GHz). I got hold of OCCT and did a 10 minute CPU test which was ok so I decided to try the motherboard "SMART QuickBoost" overclock for dummys type thing to see how it would go. ![]() I've done some Furmark with everything at stock settings, all good, peak GPU temp was 68C IIRC, also a bit of HyperPI, seemed ok. Fractal R3 / i5-2500k / Scythe Mugen 2 cooler / Gigabyte Z68X-UD3H-B3 / 8gb / GB GXT-560 Ti / etc.
